Supercritical CO2 Power Cycles

01About This Special Issue

Supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) is non-toxic, inexpensive and non-combustible, with accessible critical pressure and temperature. Therefore, it’s used as working fluid for power generation cycles. These supercritical CO2 power cycles are smaller and less complex than traditional steam Rankine power cycles, Helium power cycles and organic Rankine cycles. Recent researches have indicated that supercritical CO2 power cycles are of great importance in the fields of nuclear energy, solar energy, fossil fuel, geothermal energy, waste heat utilization and et al. This special issue is to improve the dissemination of advanced research in the area of Supercritical CO2 Power Cycles that can fulfill the high-efficiency energy utilization dream. Original research papers are solicited in any aspect of supercritical CO2 power cycles.
Aims and Scope:
  1. Fundamentals
  2. Cycles
  3. Heat Exchangers
  4. Turbomachinery
  5. Modeling & Control
  6. Testing & Applications
