About This Special Issue
Application of artificial intelligent is growing in all branches of sciences. In earth sciences also, there are many progresses and papers, utilizing intelligent systems to solve problems. Among all branches of the earth sciences, remote sensing, mineral exploration, petroleum exploration and geo-engineering are benefiting of trained machines the most. We hope to be able in playing our role in the progress of machine learning in all branches of earth sciences by supporting publication in this field.

The aim of special issue of “Intelligent Earth” is to develop application of machine learning and intelligent systems in earth sciences. Therefore, the scope of the issue is to publish interdisciplinary articles, relating intelligent applications in the subjects of earth sciences. The journal covers the subjects:

1.identification of geological parameters
2.modeling and simulation in geosciences
3.classification, clustering, estimation and prediction in geosciences and exploration
4.optimization in geosciences
5.image processing for the exploratory or geological purposes as remote sensing
6.intelligent wells
7.production prediction in petroleum reservoirs and aquifers
8.intelligent reservoir characterization
9.intelligent resource assessment: mineral, petroleum, etc.
10.training machines for assessing natural resources
11.uncertainty modeling of geological parameters
