About This Special Issue
The development of society is closely connected with the scientific development because an innovation in the science is a time demand, a demand’s result and a society’s necessity on a certain stage of its development. This regularity applies not only a technic and a technology sphere but social, political and humanitarian sciences. As Kazakhstan acquired its own independence Kazakh scientists got new tasks. One of them is the mode of life, culture, literature, Kazakh living abroad ethnography learning, the analysis of reasons and stages of their resettlement. “Until the period of our state independence, the culture of Kazakh living abroad was not studied. Only as our country acquired own sovereignty a new direction in social sciences has started development – a diasporology that is engaged in our overseas compatriot’s problems. This question remains unexplored due to a number of reasons. First and the main reason is an ideology prohibition on scientific development of this problem in the USSR. Consequently, for domestic scientists, the topic of the Kazakh diaspora and irredenta was “closed”. Secondly, in domestic archives materials about Kazakhs living abroad were almost absent. The main part of documents situated in archives of near and distant abroad, whereupon our scientists have no capability doing systematic work on this topic. But it will be observed that studies by questions of the Kazakh diaspora appearance and development existed, but they were few and they were conducted by foreign scientists.
