About This Special Issue
As a Sunni Turkish ruler, Nadir Shah established Afshar sovereignty in Iran and brought Iran's borders into the Sassanid period. He seized Indian treasures with his expeditions to India. He tried to solve the Shiite-Sunni conflict because he was Sunni.
