About This Special Issue
Agricultural Engineering is an interdisciplinary area of study which incorporates many science disciplines and technology practices to the efficient production and processing of food, feed, fiber and fuels. The primary purpose of agricultural engineering is developing ways to protect and manage natural resources, alternative energy sources, bioprocessing and systems to provide food and fiber to a growing global population.

This special issue focuses on research papers, review papers, short communications and case studies with respect to the technologies and application of science in the field of agriculture. The goal of this special issue is to encourage multidisciplinary researchers, scientists, professors and students in the field of agricultural engineering across the world.

The major topics covered in this issue include, but are not limited to:

1. Farm Power and Machinery.
2. Soil and Water Conservation and Management Engineering (including watershed management, command area development, conservation, irrigation and field drainage).
3. Irrigation and Drainage Engineering (including surface and ground water development).
4. Food Process Engineering.
5. Food Quality and Safety.
6. Farm Storage Buildings and Structures.
7. Post-harvest Processing, handling and storage.
8. Renewable energy for agriculture (including biofuels, biomass, biogas etc.)
9. Natural resources management.
10. Applications of Geo spatial technologies (including GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing etc.)
11. Rural water supply, rural roads, rural housing, rural sewerage and other aspects of rural engineering.
