About This Special Issue
With long-term history of development, the science "Convection heat and mass transfer" has become an important scientific field so far, and plays huge role in engineering and People's life. However, with the rapid development of modern industry the current achievements of traditional theory of convection heat and mass transfer are still not adapted to the practical requirements. For a simple example, a lot of calculation correlations on convection heat and mass transfer application are still empirical or semi-empirical from experiment. Therefore, a big challenge is to develop innovative research for enhancement of the practical application value of convection heat and mass transfer. The original achievements on theoretical and experimental research are encouraged in our special issue, which may include theoretical methods, mathematical models, numerical approaches and calculation, treatment of variable physical properties, novel experiment method and results, and progress of convection heat and mass transfer application.

Scientific topics we seek include but are not limited to the following technical fields:

a) Hydrodynamics and convection heat transfer of Newtonian fluids
b) Hydrodynamics and convection heat transfer of non-Newtonian fluids

Abstract: Through extensive study on hydrodynamics and heat transfer, calculation correlations of heat transfer for laminar free/forced mixed convection on a vertical flat plate is obtained. It contains the following three research investigations: (i) local-similarity analysis and transformation based on our developed new similarity analysis method replacing... Show More

Abstract: Our innovative similarity transformation for in-depth research of convection heat and mass transfer is presented. For solving convection heat and mass transfer issues, the boundary layer analysis method is used, and meanwhile, the Falkner-Skan transformation is currently popular to treat the core similarity variables for velocity field similarity. ...
