About This Special Issue
This special issue will include the studies related with radiation shielding and dosimetry materials. The studies related with this topic will be published in this special issue. It is known that the ionized radiation has a hazardous affect to the human health. Also, any accidents in nuclear power plants can cause dangerous situations. And, people working in nuclear medicine are exposed to the hazardous effect of radiation. In past, lead was used for the radiation shielding but it is very toxic element and is not suitable for people health. And so it should be produced new shielding materials which have low toxicity and no hazardous effect to the human health. Thermoluminescence materials are near tissue equivalent materials. And also the articles will include the enhancing the TL properties of dose measurement materials.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Thermoluminescence
  2. Radiation
  3. Radiation shielding
  4. Neutron absorption
  5. Gamma absorption
  6. Dosimetry
