About This Special Issue
Water conservancy projects destroy the natural attributes and connectivity of rivers, resulting in fragmentation of river ecological environment and impeding migration of migratory fish. Fish path, as a water conservancy project for fish protection, can effectively help the migration of fish, and play an important role in maintaining the connectivity of rivers and protecting the diversity of fish species. The research and construction of fish passage in China are very few, and there is still no in-depth theoretical and Experimental Research on fish passage facilities and migratory fish. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the hydraulic characteristics of the fish path and the coordination of the migratory fish, and to restore the connectivity of the river and protect the diversity of fish resources.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Fishway
  2. Physical experiments
  3. Numerical simulation
  4. Hydraulic characteristics
  5. Velocity
  6. Turbulent kinetic energy
