About This Special Issue

Transport or transportation is the movement of people, animals and goods from one location to another. Today, transportation has become a core component in nearly all activities. Modes of transport include air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline and space. The field can be divided into infrastructure, vehicles and operations. Transport is important because it enables trade between persons, which is essential for the development of civilizations. Transportation has helped to change lives through facilitating trade, travel and exchange.

This special issue is focused on the issues of Transportation Engineering and will publish researches based on quantitative methods for analysis, design and application of transportation systems in all modes of transportation (road, rail, air and marine)
