About This Special Issue
The world’s ever increasing population and incessant adoption of an industrial based lifestyle has inevitably led to an increased anthropogenic emission into the environmet. During industrial operations opportunity exist for the release of toxic organic and inorganic pollutants in to the ecosystem. These pollutants are produced in an effort to improve the living standard of man but ironically their unplanned intrusion into the environment can reverse the same standard of living by impacting negatively on the environment. Physical, chemical, and biological technologies have been employed to treat industrial wastewater before discharge. However these technologies are costly and difficult to use under field conditions, hence the need that resulted into the development of different recent technologies for treatment of industrial wastewater.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Air Pollution and Control
  2. Issues Arising from Water and Soil Pollution
  3. Emerging Techniques in Soil Remediation
  4. Wastewater Treatment using Emerging Techniques
  5. The Fate of Pollutants in the Ecosystem
