About This Special Issue
Short bowel syndrome is a critical complication of gastrointestinal operations in pediatric, which is the leading cause for intestinal failure. The treatment usually takes a long term with little effects on the contrary. Quite a lot of researches were carried on these years, which focused on nutrition treatment and operation for lengthening the bowel.
The primary goal of this special issue is to make collections and communication of methods of treatment for postoperative short bowel syndrome. We invite contributions that explore postoperative short bowl syndrome in pediatric, with particular interest in operational therapies for short bowl syndrome.
Types of articles welcomed: Original research articles, review articles, case studies, etc.
Through this special issue, we aim to provide a platform to present the latest outcomes an progress of short bowel syndrome in pediatric. We welcome researchers from various disciplines to provide interdisciplinary perspectives on postoperative short bowel syndrome in pediatric.
