Abstract: There has been an increase in the electronic devices connected to the internet space, with at least 40 billion more devices becoming smart devices via the embedded system in 2020. The internet of things (IoT) is an emerging technology that deals with the interconnection of smart devices via the internet space, hence providing enhanced communication, interaction and service delivery. Communication between IoT devices take place over the internet, placing the internet at the heart of IoT applications, hence, extending the security challenges present in the traditional network into the IoT system. This dissertation describes the various layers of an IoT network, it made mention of the three-layer architecture and describes the functions of each of its component. Also, and more importantly, the security challenges that affects the layers of an IoT network and possible solutions for each layer were discusses. Furthermore, these items were combined in a stack to discuss on IoT platforms, which is a combination of IoT devices and services connected via a communication protocol and ensures applications are send to users in a secure system. This makes it possible for the continuity of security between different stages and data tracking between IoT devices. Issues rising from IoT platforms that make it difficult for integration with other IoT devices concludes this study.

Abstract: As a major agricultural province in China, Shandong Province has always played an important role. At the same time, it is also closely related to the strong support of science and technology. As a new technology, the Internet of things (IoT) has made positive contributions. Agricultural IoT is a mode that uses information technology, wireless communication technology and radio frequency automatic identification technology to share the identified agricultural information to the network. The application of agricultural IoT is a major change in agricultural development, which provides convenient conditions for the development of agriculture, provides a favorable environment for the agricultural products, promotes the transformation of agricultural technology, realizes the informatization of agricultural production, improves the efficiency of rural land, integrates agricultural resources and provides a foundation for food safety. In this paper, the application of IoT in the field of agriculture in Shandong Province is described from two practical cases. One is about how to use wireless sensor network technology to transmit data in the big data platform based on the Bohai granary project. The other describes how to use IoT for food quality and safety traceability. It takes pigs as the research object, runs through all links of the whole industrial chain of pig breeding, breeding, slaughtering, processing, logistics and sales, collects the data of the whole industrial chain with the help of IoT, and realizes the information tracking and traceability of the whole industrial chain. At the end of the paper, it discusses the countermeasures.

Abstract: Today, the development of the automotive industry is associated with the phenomena of electromobility, autonomous vehicles, digitisation and telematics. New vehicles contain a large number of electronic control units which process and preserve digital data on the vehicle’s activity and its occupants, including communication with the external environment. This data can also be used for forensic purposes, as described in this paper. Attention is also paid to current trends, problem areas and safety risks. The paper deals with sources, classification, characteristics and uses of digital information in vehicles for forensic purposes from various perspectives, paper describes main problematic issue of Digital Vehicle Forensic. The present-day development, advancement and operation of vehicles is inseparably linked with the introduction of electronic devices and digitisation. As a result of this trend, vehicles process, transmit and save a large quantity of operational data and data connected with the activities of the vehicle’s occupants. This trend has a sharply rising character, especially in connection with the development of electric engines and an effort to create and put into operation entirely autonomous vehicles that do not require the active involvement of a driver in order to reach their established destination.
