Abstract: The World Health Organization (WHO), in its Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality, defines domestic water as the "water used for all usual domestic purposes including consumption, bathing and food preparation". Today, securing adequate safe drinking water and proper sanitation became a major challenge facing Lebanon. This work is a case study with objectives the assessment of the domestic water profile of the region surrounding Al-Ghadir River at Kfarshima and Al-Sahra. Samples were collected from 3 types of household water sources (Municipality water, Private wells and Water Vended Gallons) and assessed for their physiochemical and bacteriological profile. Results showed deterioration pattern in domestic water quality profile in the three water sources. The measured physiochemical and bacteriological parameters indicates the degree of deterioration of private well sources by the sea and the wastewater infiltration necessitating the enforcement of legislations associated with the use and the management of private wells, municipality water and private vending water.

Abstract: The present discussion addresses an environmentally relevant issue regarding the use of flexitank as a low cost, easy operation and safe option on container assiduity and physical integrity. However, it is questioned about disposal of this equipment. The objective is investigating flexitank impact disposal on global environment and relevant legislation. Compilation research based on bibliographic review of flexitank life cycle analysis in global container market. Analysis evidences flexitank de-characterization as packaging, since it constitutes a container accessory, deserves special attention of law to define a legal parameter of its use in a sustainable way, providing for situations such as reuse or material recycling, through characterization life cycle legal of flexitank which will certainly favor environment and international maritime law in containerized cargo transport.

Abstract: On December 12, 2015, the Paris agreement, known as "a historic step for human response to climate change" was adopted, and more and more governments and the public were paying attention to climate change. GHG (greenhouse gas) inventory is one of the most basic tasks in tackling climate change. GHG inventory refers to the government as a unit to calculate its greenhouse gas emissions directly or indirectly in the social and production activities. According to the compilation of inventory, the region is divided into national greenhouse gas inventory, provincial greenhouse gas inventory, city and county level greenhouse gas inventory. In this paper, through theoretical analysis about the preparation of GHG compilation of inventory of the national, provincial, city and county level, and combining the existing problems and solutions in the process of GHG compilation of inventory in Jinchang, the author puts forward some suggestions and opinions on GHG emissions inventory of city and county level.

Abstract: Nowadays, there is an increasing number of vehicles on the road, and because of that, the air pollution is more serious than before. Although there is a three-way Catalyst Converter in every car, which can transform the CO, HC and NOX to the harmless ingredients like H2O from the exhausted fumes. It is not sure that all the gas, such as: HC can be transform entirely. Thus, many vehicle manufactures intend to find some equipment to control and measure the concentration of hydrocarbons from exhausted fumes to meet the requirement of vehicle emission of world standard. This report may help the vehicle companies to solve this problem. This report first mainly describes the specific chemical types of the gaseous hydrocarbon in exhausted fume which are Alkanes, Alkenes, Alcohols, and Ether. And it also posts the disadvantages of these toxic chemicals in exhausted fumes, for instance, it is harmful to human and it pollutes the environment. Secondly, the report introduces some approaches to measure the concentration of hydrocarbon in exhausted fume from vehicles, for examples, Mass Spectrometry and Gas Chromatography, The flame ionization detector, Infrared spectroscopy, and Raman Spectrum. Furthermore, these approaches are used as a medium to find the companies who can provide such equipment to test the concentration of hydrocarbon: Horiba, AVL, and Ocean Optics. The third, the product data from these three companies is listed and compared with each other. Finally, the evaluation result of instruments to measure the concentration of gaseous hydrocarbons is shown as an input to vehicle manufactures.

Abstract: As a carrier of all things, land resources are very limited, the contradiction between human and land has become one of the focus of human survival and development. In the coal mining area, the land occupation and subsidence caused by the exploitation of coal resources continue to aggravate the contradiction between the economic benefit, social benefit and ecological benefit of land use, which directly affects the sustainability of land use. Based on the full utilization of the land resources in the mining area and improvement of land use benefit in the coal mining area, the economic, social and ecological benefits of land use in the coal mining area were analyzed comprehensively, and the comprehensive benefits evaluation index system of land use in coal mining area was built, then the weights of the evaluation indexes were determined by entropy method. According to the quantitative analysis of land use benefit in coal mining area, the triangle model was used to evaluate the comprehensive benefits of land use in mining area from 2005 to 2014. Through division of land use benefit types in coal mining area, the three trends of benefit are analyzed, and the inherent factors of land use efficiency fluctuation in coal mining area are revealed, which provides the basis for strengthening the sustainable land use in coal mining area.
