Abstract: As STEAM education has received growing attention in early childhood in recent years, how can we provide young children quality experience of STEAM learning? High-quality STEAM education project resources are a solid foundation for STEAM education quality assurance. The article takes striking phenomena in children's lives as a key point to extract and design micro-projects for STEAM education for young children. The main ideas behind the micro-projects design are as following: (1) Effectively capturing the striking life phenomena that can evoke a strong experience of children. (2) Extracting the key scientific problem and inferring progressive problems behind the phenomena. (3) Defining the micro-project and clarifying the composition of its sub-projects. (4) Realizing the integral elements of STEAM learning, etc. In a word, the micro-project design aims to establish interdisciplinary connections through in-depth exploration based on striking life phenomena and real problems. Taking the fingerprint of preschooler’s fingertips as an example, behind the striking phenomena the key scientific question "What is the genetic secret (e.g., the genetic mechanisms)" can be extracted, and then a series of progressive questions like "What is the fingerprint? Is there any difference in fingerprints among children?" "Is the child’s fingerprint the same as that of his/her parents?", "Does the child look the same as his/her parents?" "How can fingerprint be applied into our lives" can be drawn. To establish and clarify the micro-project and sub-projects based on these questions, and then to define embedded STEAM learning elements and other information. This is the design process and the main composition of a micro-project. These could be an effective way to boost quality project resource exploration for young children’s STEAM education. Issues for further exploration are also discussed.

Abstract: The teaching model of blended learning with flipped classroom has been prevalent in China in recent years, but the empirical study in this regard is relatively less. On the basis of related theories, the innovative type of blended learning, which was a combination of mobile terminal learning, web-based autonomous learning, flipped classroom and face-to-face instruction, was designed. The purpose of this study was to enhance students’ autonomy in their e-learning, to raise the efficiency of the face-to-face instruction of the video-aural-oral course and to improve students’ listening and speaking ability. The new teaching model was tested on 156 non-English majors in Grade 2017 in Beijing University of Chemical Technology for two terms. The correlation coefficient of the scores of the web-based autonomous learning and the scores of the objective listening in the final exams was made. The criterion of the dynamic assessment of the oral test was designed. The different forms of the oral tests, which were assessed on the mobile terminal, by the peer and by the teacher, were adopted. The learning outcomes were collected and analyzed to verify the effect of this teaching model. The results show that most of the subjects did the web-based autonomous learning earnestly. The subjects’ listening and oral ability improved. In this study, the teacher’s leading role was manifested in all aspects of teaching: carefully designing the teaching content of the flipped class, raising the efficiency of the face-to-face instruction of the video-aural-oral class, closely tracking the subjects’ learning processes online and providing them with timely, personalized online and offline guidance. The students’ principal part was manifested in the interaction with the resources, motivated autonomous learning, learning before class, peer study, teamwork and self-reflection. All of these are the key elements in this teaching model. The conclusion has important reference significance on the research of blended learning.

Abstract: Advanced communication technology has facilitated an exponential growth in online education for decades. High dropout rates in online learning have also posted a challenge to higher education institutions. Higher education leaders search for ways to improve student retention and graduation rates. As countless research revealed, student engagement is a key ingredient in keeping students connected with the course and their learning progress. Instructors have a significant role in student engagement. Timely, substantive instructor’s feedback facilitates learning, improves student performance, and supports student retention. Feedback given from instructors plays a vital role in student’s learning and satisfaction in the online learning environment. Satisfied students are likely to continue their studies and succeed academically. Overall, student engagement is a critical approach to keep students in the program until graduation. In this paper, a quantitative study investigates student engagement and student satisfaction in an online undergraduate program in health care administration. The aim of this study is to investigate the levels of student engagement from the first-year and senior-year students as well as the correlation between student engagement and student satisfaction. As it is expected, the results derived from this study espouse the discoveries from a myriad of previous research studies. Recommendations, limitations, and future research are also discussed.

Abstract: This article aims to investigate the integrity taking into account the relationship between culture and psychology. The conceptual framework is very sophisticated because of the wide range of studies from philosophy, education, psychology, communication, linguistic and semiotics, neurosciences, law, and so on. The multiplicity of efforts to design meta-ethics and the international needs to assume some principles and guidelines reveal the importance of the approach. The text from the Bible about Martha and Mary – a moral dilemma – becomes the start point of the investigation. The text could be considered a story, a case-study in terms of meta-ethics, a problem-solving or a hypothesis to examine moral brain. The qualitative analysis of the findings offer –despite the difficulty of moral reasoning – academically substantial inferences regarding legal decisions. For example, each judicial case could use in ethical reasoning, the similar routes of moral reasoning. The target population (660 students) was invited to critically assess the position of Martha and the position of Mary, then to explain their moral judgment behind the answer. The application stimulates moral thinking and critical thinking. To conclude, moral cognition is related to moral communication. There are various advantages for empirical work taking into account the transferability and the generalizability of findings. It is important that the formula of moral communication pretext can be adapted to suit a wide variety of research situations and various purposes.

Abstract: Teaching interaction refers to various functions and influences between the teachers and students, it is of great value of student-teacher connection and bonding in the clinical setting. However, many studies showed the problems exist in clinical teaching setting. At present, most of researches on the clinical practice of nursing postgraduates with professional degree focuses on the clinical practice effect and clinical practice experience, the researches on the teacher-student interaction behavior in clinical practice is insufficient. Objective To explore Teacher-student interaction mode of master degree nursing students, the quality of interaction and the factors influencing interaction. Method Semi-structured interviews were used to conduct face-to-face interviews with 14 master degree nursing students and 8 clinical teachers. The interview content mainly includes the interaction mode, the quality of interaction and the factors influencing interaction. The data obtained were analyzed using Colaizzi analysis. Results The teaching interaction mode mainly includes: task-driven mode, establishing model mode and problem-oriented mode. Interaction quality includes: invalid interaction, non-information interaction, benign interaction. Factors affecting interaction includes: lack of time, characteristic of teachers, self-positioning of students are unclear, lack of systematic practice plan. Conclusion There is a certain problem in interaction between master degree nursing students and clinical teachers which should be emphasized.
