Abstract: This study mainly combines the historical evolution of the Korea-U.S. alliance (vertical) with international politics’ current situation dynamics (horizontal). It explores the correlation between the transformation direction of the Korea-U.S. alliance and the change of the Korean Peninsula’s geographical pattern from the composite perspective of the asymmetry between big and small countries. This study mainly follows the two logical lines: one is to comprehensively consider the “invariance” law of the alliance transformation by dialectically analyzing both the alliance’s external environment and South Korea’s internal affairs, and analyze the specific manifestation of the alliance's quantitative changes and the impact of the transformation direction on the future geopolitical map of the Korean Peninsula during the current Moon Jae-in period; the second is to estimate the gradual changes of the geopolitical mechanics in Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia with the breakthrough of the DPRK’s nuclear force and analyze China’s future coping strategies. Overall, the effects brought by Donald John Trump to a certain extent dispersed the alliance based on traditional American values. Even in 2021, under the background of Biden’s multilateral solid return, the ROK-US alliance returns to stabilize. It is a non-ignorable aspect that American hegemony will decline in the future, which is also the internal cause of the qualitative changes of the direction of the ROK-US alliance in post -Trump period and the safety structure in Northeast Asia.

Abstract: The conflict in the South China Sea is increasingly being viewed as serious. Historically, conflicts have started from the contested territory between France and Japan, to the result of the power vacuum of the Second World War. There are no international documents that provide clarity on sovereignty in the South China Sea. China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam are countries that have overlapping territorial claims that currently arise more due to domestic economic, geostrategic and political factors. As a non-claimant country, Indonesia has a role to facilitate and resolve the conflict, because Indonesian waters, the North Natuna Sea, also have territorial claims incised. The alignment of the ZEEI and the Nine Dashes has implications for regional economic and defense arrangements. This article uses qualitative analysis methods to explore three objectives. First, explore historical, philosophical and legal approaches in discussing the background to the conflict. Second, analyzing the attitudes and perspectives of Indonesia's strategic position in the South China Sea. Third, proposing several possible recommendations needed by Indonesia to resolve the South China Sea conflict with the roles and actions needed for international and regional goals. Indonesia as a non-claimant country has a diplomatic role as a mediator, honest broker and trust builder in the handling of the South China Sea conflict. Strategic position in the South China Sea proposes several possible recommendations needed by Indonesia to resolve the South China Sea conflict with the roles and actions required for international and regional goals. Indonesia as a non-claimant country has a defense diplomacy role as a mediator, an intermediary that can build trust in the handling of the South China Sea conflict.

Abstract: This article examines the essence and nature of political privileges in the late feudal society (late 17th-18th centuries in France), which is the main purpose of the analysis. A definition of political privileges has been formulated, on the basis of which their main manifestations during feudalism have been analyzed. The privileges are classified according to several basic criteria - historical origin, social sphere, legitimacy and political hierarchy of power. The genesis and development of the privileges in the French feudal society since the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century were subjected to a synthesized analysis by revealing the key types of privileges then - the signoral and noble ones. Emphasis is placed on the numerous political privileges of the French royal family, the nobility and the religious clergy, who were the largest users of the system of privileges during this period. There are a number of illustrative examples of the enormous political, financial and corruption damage suffered by the French state from the illegitimate introduction of the system of privileges in absolutist France. A comparison with some privileges in politics that found a place in totalitarian socialist societies in the twentieth century has been made. On this basis, the nature of the privileges in the former socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and in particular of their basic forms in "socialist" Bulgaria (1944-1989), is revealed in a comparative plan. Specific conclusions (and recommendations) about the nature, meaning and necessity of political privileges in modern societies have also been made.

Abstract: There is a substantive amount of literature on decision-making in public policy. Most of this is on decision-making in domestic settings and less so on decision-making in foreign policy. As the field continues to evolve, offering more disciplinary perspectives, from political science to neuroscience, there is increasing scholarly interest in how the science of decision has moved forward. Understanding the process of decision-making has pre-occupied thinkers for centuries. The complexity of pluralistic societies, multiplied by the additional layer of international interactions, characterise the complexity, as too the gravity, of the tasks for contemporary analyst. Through this literature analysis, the author demonstrates that the general principles in decision-making are ubiquitous regardless of the decisions. The role and influence of structure and agency have varied over time and lead to diverse predictive outcomes, and equally, the varying reflective analyses. The paper demonstrates that while division lines on inputs from the different disciplines and bodies of literature are blurred, the science of decision hinges on universal factors. These include context, the relationship between agency and structure in the system paradigm, choices, behaviours, cognitive abilities and constraints of individual decision-makers, and the possession and development of the capability to deliver on policy.

Abstract: South Africa is certainly not the only country affected by the novel Coronavirus pandemic in Africa – though it currently stands as the worse-hit country by the virus, but it is presently on the list of some of the countries that defiantly take advantage of the rare opportunity imbedded in the adversity of the pandemic to reset the economic landscape. The country is promptly on route to a recovery that is one-of-a-kind in the continent, from a pandemic that saw half of its GDP depleting within months. In one of his regular situational updates to the nation, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced a comprehensive Masterplan with which South Africa aims to swim against the tide of the recession caused by Coronavirus pandemic. The midmonth announcement which upheld the remaining quarter of the hapless year 2020, unveiled the new recovery Plan for the nation known as THE SOUTH AFRICAN ECONOMIC RECONSTRUCTION AND RECOVERY PLAN (ERRP). Whilst the President and the people preciously revel the new ERRP and the much-anticipated reconstruction of the economy of the country in order to address widening inequality now relapsed by the pandemic, we painstakingly examine it in detail to divulge the numerous “new” effects that inundate the decadal Plan.

Abstract: If we want to say that human beings is in the global change, the author thinks the biggest variable in this big change is the technological revolution and some subsequent chain reactions, such as global industrial chain restructuring. At present, for a long time to come, although there will be many rich and rival multinational corporations to emerge in the world, the country is still an important actor in the world. Therefore, based on the country, it is very important to systematically analyze and explain the strategic direction of the national actors and its internal system construction. On the one hand, we should deal with the new industrial division of labor brought about by the technological reform, and on the other hand, we should properly solve the new problems emerging in the domestic society. In this context, this study hopes to provide some suggestions and suggestions for the strategic planning and institution-building of the most important actors in international relations today, namely the state. The author conducts research through historical document method and case analysis method, and sorts out some key cases in history and important laws in current international relations, thus forming important supporting materials for the conclusion of this study. The most important conclusions of this paper include two parts. The first part is that the complexity of national strategic planning is usually beyond a single dimension, which requires multiple considerations and a large amount of talent and energy. The second part is the national system construction, which can not be completely imported from outside, must be combined with their own national conditions and the actual continuous optimization and improvement, in order to maintain the matching of the system.
