Abstract: Every child is a unique individual. The way children act or behave in a particular situation may differ from one another. The study identified the prevalence of ADHD symptoms among Grade I learners as observed by their teachers. Descriptive method was utilized. Questionnaire, interview guide, and observation were the instrument used in 17 respondents. It revealed that academic performance level of identified learners to have ADHD symptoms varies. Learners have low academic performance level while others have average academic performance level. Teachers employed various measures to address identified learners to have ADHD symptoms on aggressiveness, inattentiveness, hyperactivity, impulsiveness and depression. Various management practices were used by Grade I teachers to address identified Grade I learners to have ADHD symptoms on aggressiveness, inattentiveness, hyperactivity, impulsiveness and depression to manage and control the behaviour of their learners. Abstract: For improving product quality and shifting from manufacturing to a service based economy, many organizations are undergoing organization structure transformation from hierarchy to decentralization in order to facing the increasingly fierce global competition. In the new and more flat form of organization structure, the practice of empowerment is regarded as an effective mechanism benefiting both employees and organizations and has attracted lots of researchers’ attention. This paper aims to investigate the relationship between the value of founders in startups and their empowerment behaviors. This study generated a comprehensive empowerment behavior questionnaire with 9 dimensions. Based on context analysis on the interviews of startup founders, their values were coded according to the definition system of the value studies by Schwartz. And the primary relations between empowerment behavior and personal value is explored. The results showed that the growth and anxiety-free part of a circular motivational continuum with 19 values are more positively related to empowerment behavior and the other part, self-protection and anxiety avoidance is less positively related to their empowerment behavior. Future research is also discussed in the paper.

Abstract: It had been documented in the literature that Chinese people endorsed more highly collectivist values when compared with their Western counterparts who endorsed more individualistic values (bi-cultural differences). The aim of the study was to examine if the same pattern existed among three groups of Chinese people (mono culture) in Australia, without comparing them with another ethnic group. A method using a 26-item survey labelled as Cultural Value Scale (CVS) was administered to 138 Chinese Australians. Principal component analyses (with varimax rotation) were used to identify underlying dimensionality in the correlations of items. Scales were constructed from the final solution and Cronbach’s alpha calculated. Subscale score variations were analysed to examine the discriminant validity of the subscales. Our results using Principal Component Analysis revealed four dimensions accounting for 47 percent of the variation within items. Four factors were derived. These were labelled Collectivist Family Conformity (CFC), Collectivist Family Interdependence (CFI), Individualist Self Assertion (ISA) and Individualist Self Opinion (ISO). Developed as subscales, reliability analysis indicated moderately high internal consistency with respective alpha coefficients of 0.77, 0.67, 0.54, and 0.61. We conclude that Chinese Australians endorsed more collectivist values than individualist values, correlated positively with the literature.

Abstract: The present work gives in brief ten main arguments in favor of the Person-Oriented Conception of Happiness (POCH) as the main candidate to the role of the ultimate theory in modern psychology. Dual system and multilevel construction of POCH enables a bigger volume of material investigated, gives the opportunity for the scientist to occupy different positions for monitoring and analysis. POCH also covers heights and depths in the investigation – from studying biological predispositions of psychic phenomena up to acme of the human spirit.
